Some Passions and Culminations!

Hello!

.

(Firstly please do excuse me for this format today. I wrote the draft offline before redownloading the WP app. Future posts will be formatted better)

.
It has been an immensely long time since I last updated on my goals and progress! Multitude of reasons for this, most of them having to do with stressful lack of proper time management. BUT! I’ll go through brief updates by topic to get us all caught up!

Weightloss
My biggest goal was to drop about 8 kilos since March with the help of a nutrition programme and training! I got fantastic news for you! My goal was 60kg, I am currently maintaining 59kg!

Internship in Germany

This was absolutely difficult. First getting used to my roommates and the new environment, learning German and figuring out actual living! Having to write a weekly blog for my school kind of took me out of my own blog habit. It wasn’t all smooth sailing but I pretty much fell in love with the Munich city. I might wtite more in detail in the future.

Finishing school and exams
Honestly, for once in my life I can claim I was studying responsibly. Ahead of time and thoroughly. On the previous night before the exam, I went to the cinema with my partner and felt at ease. Next morning the final exam score was 92/100! The threshold was 70 points, every student in our course being successful!

Where am I now

So currently it is the end of summer and those previous updates only covered until the first half of June. After that I got work in a small company as a construction painter. The salary allows me to save up, but only now do I feel relatively at ease with the pace and nature of this profession. I still have a long way to go, but at least I do not feel like a deer in the headlights. It’s also helped me get much stronger and gain more endurance. All in all, the more I do this work, the more I like it.
This new lifestyle had set my time management off so bad, not to mention my sleep schedule. I decided I will need to choose between focusing 90% on drumming or drawing. Chose drumming, committed to some great online courses and invested in an amp for my electrical kit. Along with endurance from work, it has also translated into endurance behind the kit. Still, I intend to incorporate more lower body workouts into my routine as the main strenght benefit is for the upper part.

.

A week ago I went to spontaneously visit my friend’s studio band practice. They have a metal band with an amazing sound! I got hyped near-instantly, they had a break and my friend encouraged me to sit behind the kit. I let go with the rhythms I learned in winter and to my surprise, they held up consistently. Then the guitars joined and that’s when it happened. I felt alive. So alive. Time and time again, reminded how this setting, in timely harmony with other instruments, is the most invigorating thing for me. It’s positively addictive.

.

I focused my research to finding some resources especially for rock and luckily I found them! Now I intend to practice away at home until I can play around the whole kit, not simply the snare, bass and hi-hat.

.

All of this is being kept track by a calendar notebook I bought. This one had squared sheets, not horizontally lined ones and apparently that was the stamp to make me stick to it.
.
I’ve come to a point in my life where I have so much going on I need to write it all out to keep track of it all.

.

.

So that’s it for my brief update for now! I’ll pen it down to be more consistent with these posts again!

.

Have a Wonderful Day and Until next time!
